FAQ

I’m interested in learning martial art. How do I go about it?
It’s easy book a FREE taster session with us at your nearest club. This will give you a good idea about the lessons and you can see if it’s for you.

What age do you start teaching from? If you want your child to practise martial arts for a long time we suggest 7 years and above is the best age to get involved due to the concentration needed. We understand everyone is an individual and has a different attention span. The best way is to contact us,  we can phone you back and have a chat.

Can I start straight training away? Yes, there is a simple new starter form to fill in before your first lesson, but after that you are good to go. Book your free taster session by clicking here now.

What clothes do I wear for my first lesson? Simply wear loose clothes. We train in bare feet so no specialist equipment is needed.

How much does it cost? The first lesson is FREE and then you can simply “Pay As You Go” which is £6 per lesson or take advantage of our discounted monthly rates. See your Instructor for details.

My kids want to train as well…. We are very lucky that a lot of families train in our clubs. Your kids are welcome to come along to the same lesson. Simply ask the instructor for advice and we will point you in the right direction and family discounts are available. Martial arts are a great way to spend quality time together as a family. Training together could be the start of something very special.

I am really unfit…. Don’t worry everyone feels like that when they first start. We will begin slowly and work at your own rate. Anyone can train regardless of their physical condition. If people in wheelchairs can practice martial art, that should be inspiration for us all.

I used to train years ago. Can I still join? Of course. Chances are you will pick it up very quickly and if you have forgotten everything don’t worry you will have a good foundation to build on.

How often can I train? Nearly every day if you wanted to! Click here to be directed to our club timetable. Our club is very flexible and you can train as often or as little as you like.
