Why Your Master is the Most Important Person in Martial Arts

A Master gives a piece of themselves to every student who walks through the door. They care about them, they look after them and they nurture them to become the best they can be. A student can never rebuild their Master but they can pass on their knowledge to those below them. It is a black belt's duty to give back, the way their Master has given back to them. Why Quitting Martial Arts is the Easy Option.

So today an adult student,who has trained with me for over a year, told me they were quitting. When I was younger my first reaction was always what had I done to cause this. Was it something I said?
